Melissa Williams-Brown, who posted the infamous "paranoid totmom" videos, allegedly went to extraordinary lengths to fake a college degree she didn’t have; making the claims in engagement announcements she placed in several newspapers - including the Los Angeles Times and Irvine World News. Ms. Williams-Brown may be facing incarceration, probation and a heavy fine just like Melissa Howard, a disgraced politician who also faked her college degree.

Miranda Sieg of alumni relations said she "cannot find any records" of her enrollment. 
Desiree Bascomb, a spokesperson from media relations, said in an email: "Our records office is unable to find a record of her attendance."

The future bride is of Reston, Va., and earned her bachelor's degree from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She plans to complete her master's degree information systems technology there as well. She works in the Washington, D.C., area as a computer programmer and freelance Web developer. The groom-to-be earned his bachelor's degree in the science of economics and his master's of business degree from the University of South Carolina. He works in Washington, D.C., as vice president of aftermarket and customer services for Rolls-Royce. After dating for two years, Brown surprised his bride-to-be by proposing to her on one knee in front of Westminster Abbey during a trip to London.  A mid-afternoon, outdoor wedding is planned for her birthday, June 6, 2004, at Breaux Winery in Purcellville, Va. 



The bride-elect, daughter of Joanne and Felton Williams, graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  The future bridegroom, son of Gabriel and Marion of Columbia, S.C., graduated from Spring Valley High in Columbia and the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He was a former member of the Breakfast Club and Balboa Bay Club of Newport Beach.

Melissa Williams-Brown, a 49-year old Adelaide photographer, allegedly went to extraordinary lengths to fake a college degree she didn’t have. She made the claims in engagement announcements she placed in several newspapers - including the Los Angeles Times and Irvine World News. Emails from officials at George Washington University indicate Melissa Williams-Brown may have staged college degree deception since they have no record of her enrollment.
